Fiber blowing — also known as cable jetting — is the modern standard for fiber optic cable installation. Instead of pulling cable with physical force, we use high-pressure compressed air to propel the cable through conduit quickly, safely, and over much greater distances. AM Underground INC is fully equipped and experienced to handle fiber blowing on any scale.
Fiber blowing uses a specialized jetting machine that feeds cable into a pre-installed conduit or microduct while compressed air propels it forward at high speed. The cable essentially floats through the duct on a cushion of air — eliminating friction and pull stress that damages fiber during traditional installation.
